Hi everyone! Thanks for visiting us at the Sauk Valley’s only indoor, year round, farmers market. We are terribly excited about the launch of our new website and this very high tech, new fangled way of communicating; the Blog. I must admit, I have been a computer professional for 20 years, but this is the first time I have ever blogged, let alone administer one. So this should be very interesting.
If you haven’t been to our market, make it a point to stop by this Saturday. Ed Cox from Century 21 is putting on this month’s edition of our monthly community meal. I believe an egg and sausage casserole is planned.
For those of you who are new to the market, we host a community meal on the first Saturday of every month. This month, however, is special. We will be hosting two meals. We will be hosting, along with the Mural Society, another breakfast on May 10th. In case you were not aware, The Mural Society is running it’s annual Master Gardener’s sale and event in our parking lot that Saturday. We will be serving a biscuit and gravy breakfast in tandem with that event. Come down and visit the market, have rib sticking breakfast and check out the spring plant offerings in the parking lot.
The market is trying out something new this year. We will be open on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00pm. These hours start on June 4th, which, coincidentally, is our Summer Kickoff cookout. Join us, and Sauk Valley Angus for an awesome summer cookout. Not sure yet what the menu will be, but I’m betting Sauk Valley Angus beef is involved somewhere.
Thanks for visiting us and please make it a point to stop by on Saturday. Our vendors are alway happy to stop and chat with our market friends
